Richard Maidment is a photographer and videographer based in England and Japan, specialising in capturing the nuances of everyday life. With a background in photography from the University of the Arts London, Richard has developed a refined visual style that highlights the beauty, depth, and authenticity of the world around him.

His work spans across England and Japan, where he has a deep personal connection and has spent extensive time immersing himself in the culture and daily life of the country. In addition to his photography, Richard is the founder of Enishi, a creative studio inspired by the Japanese philosophy of ‘enishi’ (縁), meaning fate, connection, and destiny. The studio is dedicated to producing compelling visual narratives that celebrate the artistry, craftsmanship, and dedication of creatives and artisans. Through high-quality video documentaries and photography, Enishi brings untold stories to life—stories that engage, inspire, and leave a lasting impression.
